Mark Duckitt (M.Inst.D) (Managing Director)

Mark is the founding member of Eco Impact and is responsible for the strategic expansion of Eco Impact within Southern Africa. He qualified as an attorney in South Africa in 1997 and as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2001.

He developed Eco Impact’s unique online content management systems and he is also our lead Environmental, Health and Safety Systems and Legal Compliance Auditor.

He has significant experience in environmental and health and safety law and legal compliance and has been invited as a guest speaker at numerous conferences and has lectured at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.

Nicolaas Hanekom (Pri.Sci.Nat.) (Director and Principal Environmental Assessment Practitioner)

Nicolaas is a qualified Environmental Assessment Practitioner and a registered Professional Natural Scientist (Ecologist) with the SACNASP who holds a M. Tech, Nature Conservation from the CPUT. He further qualified in Environmental Management Systems ISO 14001:2004 and completed the Internal Auditors Course to ISO 19011:2003 level, at the North-West University, qualifying him to audit to ISO/SANS environmental compliance and EMS standards.

As the principal EAP, he is responsible for EIAs, waste licence and atmospheric emission licence and Section 24G applications. He also implements environmental management systems. Nicolaas conducts both fresh water and biodiversity assessments as well as baseline air quality monitoring.

Daniel Weber (Director)

Daniel is an admitted attorney and an Environmental Health and Safety Legal Compliance Auditor. He advises on a range of Environmental Health and Safety issues and assists with monitoring Environmental Health and Safety legislation in order to keep clients abreast of legal developments in these fields.

Daniel compiles and updates Environmental, Health and Safety, Food Safety and Energy legal registers to ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 22 001 and ISO 50001 standards. As an experienced legal compliance auditor he has conducted Environmental Health and Safety legal compliance audits.

Johmandie Pienaar (Environmental Assessment Practitioner)

Johmandie holds a BTech Degree in Nature Conservation of which she graduated Cum Laude at the Cape Town University of Technology (2008). She further qualified in Implementing OHS Management Systems at the Center for Environmental Management, North-West University, as well as Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems OHSAS 18001 Audit: A Lead Auditor Course Based on ISO 19011 and ISO 17021 (2011).

Johmandie compiles coordinates and manages Basic Assessment Reports, Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Management Programes, Waste Licence Applications, Water Use Licence Applications and Baseline Biodiversity Surveys.

Jessica Le Roux (Pr.Sci.Nat.) (Head of Training)

Jessica is a registered Professional Natural Scientist in the field of Environmental Science (Registration number 400192/16). She obtained her BSc (Honours) in Environmental and Geographical Science in 2011 from the University of Cape Town and subsequently obtained her MSc in Zoology in 2013 from the same institution.

Jessica heads up the Eco Impact training department and is also a Senior EAP and lead sustainability auditor. She has also completed the year long UNIDO Certified Energy Expert course and now specialises in ISO50001.

Nicole Loebenberg (Administration)

Nicole’s first formal exposure to conservation management came as Administrator and Board secretary of the Cape West Coast Biosphere Reserve Company before joining Cape Lowlands Environmental Services prior to its merger with Eco Impact.

Nicole is also a part time student at UNISA in the process of completing a Diploma in Nature Conservation.

Nicole is involved with project monitoring, correspondence with authorities, clients and the public on behalf of the EAPs and assists with the public participation process, editing and preparing information for distribution and submission.

Lauren Abrahams (Cand.Sci.Nat.) (Junior EAP and Administration)

Lauren Abrahams is a registered Candidate Natural Scientist in the field of Biological Science (Registration number 100126/12). She obtained her Baccalaureus Technology Degree in Oceanography at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (2010).

Lauren is a Junior EAP and is involved in the compilation, coordination and managing Basic Assessment Reports, Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Management Programes, Waste Licence Applications, Water Use Licence Applications and Baseline Biodiversity Surveys.

Yolandie Henstock (Administration)

Yolandie is the receptionist and office administrator. She has gained extensive experience in office administration, and has completed training courses in Successful Team Management and in Exceptional Customer Service.

Yolandie is involved with general office management, project monitoring, correspondence with authorities, clients and the public on behalf of the EAPs and assists with public participation process, editing and preparing information for distribution and submission to key departments and interested and affected parties.

Monique Reddering

Monique has extensive marketing and accounting experience and has successfully founded, owned and managed a number of overseas businesses in the UK and Sweden.

She currently assists Eco Impact with various marketing initiatives and heads our dedicated accounts team.
